About

The Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre is a community-based, not-for-profit, charitable organization that provides programs, events, and facilities to promote and inderstanding and appreciation of Japanese culture and Japanese Canadian heritage for Canadians of all heritages.

The Japanese Canadian community spans five generations and is a community rich in knowledge, histoy, contribution, and achievement. As Canada's first Japanese Canadian centre, the JCCC provides a place for the diverse community to make new friends and share common interests. It is also a place of learning where many visitors may be inspired to learn about the many facets of the unique culture and heritage of the Japanese. It proudly shares with its members and the public, the history of the Japanese pioneers who through their sacrifices and achievements, helped shape Canadian society.

The JCCC represents the fulfillment of a long-held vision to celebrate the spirit of Japanese heritage and culture. Since 1964, it has been promoting harmony, friendship, and understanding in Canada's diverse society. The JCCC is recognized across Canada as an important, vibrant, community institution.
